| PLOT Troubled Doctor Nookey, sends the hospital in to choas, when he ends up in front of the medical council, things go not quite to plan, and finds himself in the native Beatific Islands helping run a medical mission. There he is introduced to Gladstone Screwer, a medical orderley running the mission, with a wife for every day of the week. There Gladstone tries to perk him up, eventually a rare wonder drug Gladstone has made is the only thing that can make him rich and so he goes home. Now running his own clinic, the new potion does something very queer, and the paients are about to find out exactlly what it does. | VERDICT Quite a good entry into the series, not as good as it's predecessor but raises a few laughs. Even though this is one of the average Hospital outings, one thing lets it down, that's Sid James being brought into the film 45 mins into the film. However when he is on screen the comedy flares and the best moments are with Sid and Jim Dale. Jim finally leaves the series after this one and his performance won't be forgotten in this one, especially with the trolley sequence and the Hospital dance scenes. This is a rather enjoyable film and does stray abit mid way though but a good effort. | | ON VIDEO & DVD | | Copyright 2007 Granada Ventures / Carry On Forever
