| PLOT British India 1895, the Burpas are revolting, and the Devil's in skirts are defending thier ranks. Private Widdle gets caught with his bloomers up and before to long in the hands of the Khasi of Kalabar. Shortly after a photograph with the men on parade with the skirts up showing thier bloomers, it is now down to the Devil's in skirts to retrive the photo and to defend the state. Nothing now can prevent the mistake of the battle that lies ahead. | VERDICT A gem in the Carry On crown. Fine performances all round, a well turned out crowd makes this one of the strongest Carry On's in the series. The dinning room scene is without doubt the most enjoyable part of the movie, the classic line from Butterworth "Strawberry Mooose" just cracks you up everytime. Kenneth Williams is the key man in this film, his radience lights up the whole film, with his classic "Rank Stupidity" line, refering to the Rank Organisation is just timed brilliantly. A absolute belter, a pure original Carry On. | | ON VIDEO & DVD | | Copyright 2007 Granada Ventures / Carry On Forever
