| This is the story of two chinchillas competing against each other in the show season 2002-2003 and the final result at the NCS National Show The story begins with their parents. Both of whom are standards. One was bought from Eddie & Richard Crutchley The other from Tom Handford. From them I had good kits born. Last year 2002 they had twin daughters who competed against each other all season at the shows we attended. This page is about their rise to fame, it is also a reply to the people who have said to me recently that I bought them!!!! I categorically deny that horrible rumour. Why would I lie? I am too well known and have a good reputation which I need to keep. I can assure all.....the parents were bought by me, were paired by me, bred by me and the twin female kits were then shown by me! Anyone who wishes to verify this may check with the breeders of the parents, namely Tom(now retired) and Eddie&Richard Crutchley. Also known as Etherdale chinchillas. This is mum bought from Tom Handford dad bought from Eddie&Richard Floppy's sister named Sis on left looks like mum, their brother on right looks so like dad. Read below to see more about floppy's rise to fame along with Sis The twins at their first show. Floppy on left and her sister on right competed with each other all the show season, first one then the other would win. As I always say, it's their condition on the day which gains the awards. At one show Paul Spooner after the show pointed to Floppy and said "This chinchilla 'will' have her day" How right he was because at the N.C.S. National in 2003 Floppy got the much coveted award of the N.C.S. National Grand Show Champion. Her twin got an award too as did others. So Please remember. If you are going to show a chinchilla. Dont despair if they don't do well at first shows. Listen to what judges say, and keep trying, because there may be that one day when 'your' chinchilla will be in prime condition for the show. Floppy at the National in 2003 Floppy with her awards and ribbons which she won that day and I myself gained a 1st. award in the national standard breeders award section too, so we both did pretty well that day. latest news After feb. 2003 Floppy and her sister were paired up with unrelated males. Floppy gave birth to quads july 2003. Her sister who was due in august has now had her kits too. on 6th JAN2003 the parents had two sons, They also competed against each other all season. Did well by winning a grd show champ award each and have now been sold. They are beautiful males but I have no room to keep them otherwise they would not have been sold at all.. all pages & pics are Copyright © Kingdom Chinchillas To find us if you wish to visit our chins? click on Yahoo >> map and then click on the red star which marks Kirkcaldy this will bring up a window which says from here -to-here.
