Thanet ADDers is run by Caroline Hensby, an ADD/ADHD non-profit support group based in Thanet, Kent, England.
She has an adult son (Richard) with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and has also been diagnosed as having ADD herself, so has experience of both child and adult ADD/ADHD.
Thanet ADDers ADD/ADHD Support Group was started on 20th January 1997 by, Caroline and Simon Hensby now of Broadstairs, (however Simon is no longer involved as he left the family home in October 2004 to start a new life). As parents of Richard who was diagnosed with ADD in 1996 and are running this group as a non profit making organisation, purely for the benefit of ADD sufferers (children and adults) and their families, who live or work in the Thanet area or nearby in Kent
Membership is free and open to sufferers and their families who live in Thanet or nearby in Kent, England. Our Newsletter is sent by mail to all members and interested parties
Our objective is to promote awareness to Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and to provide information and as much free practical help as we can to sufferers, both adults and children, and their families
Thanet ADDers is the land based part of the wider ADD/ADHD Online Support Site at www.adders.org where you will find more information, support, news, research and very active forum boards where you can speak to people from all over the world and UK - there is also a medical expert Dr Billy Levin, who is a doctor from South Africa who is on hand to answer any questions and offer help, advice and support
