· Hans Blasendorf, Captain, King’s German Legion Light Dragoons. The Captain is one of Dornberg’s patrol commanders and takes Sharpe’s intelligence to the cavalry General. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Sir William Dornberg, General. The German, an ex- Colonel in the French army, is in charge of the border patrols but he fails to send Sharpe’s intellignce to Wellington. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Prince William of Orange, Major- General. The callow heir to the Netherlands throne is made a corps commander on the demands of King William of the Netherlands despite the fact that the 23 year old has no battle command experience. Despite being a brave man the incompetent Prince wipes out the 69th at Quatre Bras through his orders to form line in face of cavalry, then again the same thing twice at Waterloo where he practically murdered Ompteda’s KGL battalion and the Hanoverian Red Germans. Sharpe shoots him in the shoulder in an assassination attempt and the bungling Prince is taken from the field before the assault of the Imperial Guard. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Baron Jean de Constant Rebecque, Chief of Staff. The Dutchman is Prince William’s Chief of Staff and befriends Sharpe and tries to get him to like the bungling Prince. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Winkler, Colonel, Netherlands Army. A Dutch officer on slender Billy’s Staff. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Harry Webster, Lieutenant, Staff. An Englishman on Prince William’s Staff. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Prince Bernard of Saxe- Weimar, General, Netherlands. The Prince holds the crossroads of Quatre Bras until reinforcements are brought up and his men fight well at both Qutare Bras and Waterloo. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Simon Doggett, Lieutenant, 1st Foot Guards. The young Englishman is on Prince William’s staff and is the only one who stands up to the Prince’s incompetence at Waterloo and calls him to his face a “stocking full of shit”. He fights well during the repulse of the Imperial Guard Sharpe promotes him to Captain after the battle. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Christopher Manvell, Captain, Life Guards. The cavalry officer is a friend of Lord John Rossendale he is a aide to Uxbridge and takes part in the British Heavy cavalry charge. He survives the battle of Waterloo intact. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Joseph Ford, Colonel, South Essex. The worrying Colonel is an ineffectual commander of the regiment and eventually goes mad during the battle of waterloo, enabling Sharpe to take over, destroy the Imperial Guard attack and save the day. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Edwin Vine, Major, South Essex. The irascible officer is hated by his men and is shot in the eye by a French skirmisher during the battle of Waterloo. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Macara, Colonel, 42nd Highlanders. The commander of the Black Watch at Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Christie, Ensign, 44th East Essex. The Ensign manages to protect the colours of his regiment despite being severely wounded by numerous lances and sabres. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Micklewhite, Major, South Essex. The Major is killed during Kellermann’s cavalry attack while protecting the battalion’s retreat into the woods. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Sir Colin Halkett, General. The brigade commander in whose brigade the Prince of Wales Own Volunteers/South Essex is in. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Little, Band- Master, South Essex. The cheerful band- master of the battalion. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Ned Kelly, Captain, Life Guards. A friend of Lord John Rossendale. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Witherspoon, Captain, Hussars. The young man is one of Wellington’s staff officers but he is killed early on in the battle by a cannon shot. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, MacDonnell, Colonel, Coldstream Guards. The Scotsman is personally given the Hougoumont by Wellington and he holds it against all the French attacks and closes the gates at the only moment the French broke in. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· Miguel de Don Alava, Major- General. One of Wellington’s friends he had been his Spanish advisor on his staff and at Waterloo was the Spanish attaché. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Ewart, Sergeant, Scots Greys. The Scotsman captures an Eagle during the British Heavy cavalry charge. Sharpe’s Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
· ?, Clark, Captain, 1st Royal Dragoon. The Captain captures the second Eagle during the British Heavy cavalry charge. Sharpe’s Waterloo.
