- Henry Willsen, Captain, 50th West Kent. Originally Lavisser’s ‘guard’ he is is fine fencer but is ambushed by Barker on Lavisser’s orders and killed. Sharpe’s Prey.<o:p></o:p>
- John Lavisser, Captain- Major, 1st Foot Guards. A French spy because of huge gambling debts he steals thousands of Guineas from the British government, has Skovgaard tortured but is trapped and killed by Sharpe. Sharpe’s Prey.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Gordon, Captain. Baird’s nephew he is the general’s aide during the Copenhagen campaign. Sharpe’s Prey.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Samuels, Captain, Royal Navy. Commander of HMS Cleopatra that takes Sharpe, Lavisser and Barker to Denmark. Sharpe’s Prey.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Dunbar, Lieutenant, Royal Navy. Second in comamnd of HMS Cleopatra that takes Sharpe, Lavisser and Barker to Denmark. Sharpe’s Prey.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Davies, Sergeant, 23rd Welch Fusiliers. Finds Sharpe and Jens coming out of Copenhagen. Sharpe’s Prey.<o:p></o:p>
- Sir William Cathcart, Major- General. Commander of the British forces at Copenhagen<o:p></o:p>
- Don Blas Vivar, Major, Spanish Cazadores, Spanish Army. Rescues Sharpe in 1809 and teaches him a lot about being an officer which Sharpe uses well. He defeats de l’Eclin and captures Santiago de Compostela and falls in love with the English Louisa Parker whom he marries. He also inherits the title of Count of Mouromorto after the death of his brother. Sharpe later rescues him from the clutches of Cochrane in Chile where by this time he is a Captain- General, the equivalent of a Field Marshal. Sharpe’s Rifles and Devil.<o:p></o:p>
- Diego Davila, Lieutenant, Spanish Cazadores, Spanish Army. Vivar’s second in command. Sharpe’s Rifles.<o:p></o:p>
- Michael Hogan, Captain, Royal Engineers. The genial Irishman fins Sharpe when the rifleman returns to the army and uses him as an escort on his mapping expeditions until Sharpe is drafted into the South Essex. Given a place on Wellington’s staff by 1810 the Irishman is soon promoted to Major and is head of intelligence. He is a Lieutenant- Colonel by 1814 but dies of the fever. Sharpe’s Rifles, Havoc, Eagle, Escape, Gold, Battle, Company, Enemy, Sword, Enemy, Honour and Siege.<o:p></o:p>
- James Christopher, Colonel, General’s Staff. On General Craddock’s staff he is a civilian in uniform who first flirts with treason and then does it. He rapes a Portuguese peasant on encouragement of the French. He fully deserts along with Rifleman Williamson but Sharpe catches up with both of them and kills them both. Sharpe’s Havoc.<o:p></o:p>
- Jorge Vincente, Lieutenant, 18th Portuguese Infantry. Rescues Sharpe from his home town of Oporto and helps him defeat French infantry sent by the traitor Colonel James. The ex- lawyer is a Captain by the time next sees him and is in charge of a company of Cacadores, skirmishers, and again helps Sharpe out. Sharpe’s Havoc and Escape.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Macedo, Sergeant, 18th Portuguese Infantry. Part of the remnants of Vincente’s Portuguese he is a brave soldier who fights well through- out. Sharpe’s Havoc. <o:p></o:p>
- ?, Waters, Colonel, General’s Staff. One of Wellesley’s exploring staff he reinforces Sharpe’s lodgement on the seminary and helps get Wellesley’s troops across for a crossing the Douro to attack the French. Sharpe’s Havoc.<o:p></o:p>
- Sir Edward Paget, Major- General. Wellesley’s second in command early in 1809 he takes part in the fight in the seminary after the crossing of the Douro and is wounded in the arm. He takes no further part in the Peninsular War despite being Britain’s best cavalry commander as he elopes with Wellesley’s married sister. He is given second- in –command against Wellington’s wishes again in the Waterloo Campaign where he loses a leg right at the end of the battle. Sharpe’s Havoc and Waterloo.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Hill, General. One of the ablest commanders under Wellington he was one of the only generals Wellington ever trusted to give an independent command to. He commanded a brigade at first but his talents soon get him a full division and by Waterloo he commands a corps. He is a soldier’s soldier known to the soldiers as ‘Daddy’ Hill due to his caring nature. Sharpe’s Havoc and Eagle.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Beresford, General. Commander of the Portuguese army the ex- British officer transformed them into an effective fighting force and was an able administrator but his command of the battle at Albuera was shaky, leading to unnecessary casualties though he did beat Soult’s attack. Sharpe’s Havoc and Revenge.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Potter, Major. Major in charge of prisoners in 1809. Sharpe’s Havoc.<o:p></o:p>
- Sir Henry Simmerson, Colonel, South Essex. An ex- militia officer he raises his own regiment but he is a bad tempered incompetent dunderhead who loses a colour at Valdelcasa as well as destroying his battalion. At Talavera he nearly loses the battle with his cowardice and is replaced by Colonel Lawford while his rapist nephew Gibbons is killed by Harper while trying to steal the Eagle from Sharpe. He goes on to be a tax inspector and Sharpe next meets his hated enemy when he returns to England in late 1813 and fins him deeply involved with using the 2nd battalion of the South Essex for crimping with Colonel Girdwood. Sharpe finds out and ruins him forever, marrying his niece Jane Gibbons. Sharpe’s Eagle and Regiment.<o:p></o:p>
- Christian Gibbons, Lieutenant, South Essex. Nephew to Sir Henry Simmerson and brother to Jane Gibbons he is a vain youth who hates Sharpe for taking a Captaincy and Josefina Locosta and he later rapes Josafina with his friend Berry. Both are killed for their crime. Gibbons is killed just after the battle of Talavera by Harper after he tries to steal the Eagle from Sharpe. Simmerson somehow gets him a memorial saying Gibbons died in the capture of the Eagle. Sharpe’s Eagle.
