- Warren Dunnett, Captain. Sharpe’s company commander he dislikes Sharpe intensely and by the time of Corunna he is a Major. However he is captured during de L’Eclin’s attack. - Patrick Harper, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. Later part of the South Essex Harper is originally opposed to Sharpe but he realises how good the officer is during time they are cut off from the army in the winter of 1809 when Sharpe makes him a Sergeant and despite their fight in the snow they become friends. He takes the Eagle at Talavera with Sharpe. Busted down to Private by Windham for theft, which was set up by Hakeswill he is given 60 lashes but Sharpe gives him back his rank after proving Harper innocent. In Sword he helps Sharpe get better and in enemy receives an independent command in the Gateway of God where he commands the British forces in the convent despite only being a Sergeant. Promoted to RSM by Sharpe after the death of RSM MacLaird. Discharged after proving Sharpe innocent in 1814 he returns to Ireland with Isabella and his baby. But he returns for Waterloo despite not being a soldier any more and helps Sharpe repulse the attack on Hougoumont and again during the Imperial Guard attack. He then visits Napoleon with Sharpe before helping Cochrane capture Valdivia. It is during his time in Chile he receives a wound to the head. The sergeant of escapes with Sharpe after the attack of de L’Eclin on Dunnett’s half battalion he tries to hard to be liked by the men to be an effective sergeant but is respectful to Sharpe. - Daniel Hagman, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. Later in the South Essex the oldest rifleman in the company he is also the best shot as he is an old poacher. Wounded in the lung area during 1809 he recovers thanks to Sharpe and the care of Kate Savage. He is toothless but loyal and is given respect by Sharpe himself. He is wounded again in the fight at the pass in 1813 this time in the shoulder. The old rifleman dies of his wounds at Waterloo when he is shot in the lung again. - Isaiah Tongue, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. Later part of Sharpe’s Light Company of the South Essex the bible- bashing, educated Tongue is killed by a French Voltigueur during Sharpe’s mission to take the Spanish gold. Sharpe’s Rifles, Havoc and Gold.<o:p></o:p>
- Matthew Dodd, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. One of Sharpe’s riflemen and later in the South Essex, he is a Corporal by Escape and goes missing during the battle of Buassaco. Sharpe’s Rifles, Havoc and Escape.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Gataker, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. One of Sharpe’s riflemen and later of the South Essex he is fly rogue who is first He is wounded in the leg by a shell during the French’s first attack on the hill top at Vila Real de Zedes. killed by another French shell during Talavera. - John Williamson, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. One of Sharpe’s riflemen he hates Sharpe and is a continuing troublemaker. Fed up with being punished he deserts with the traitor Colonel Christopher James but both are found by Sharpe and killed by him for their treachery. Sharpe’s Havoc.<o:p></o:p>
- ?, Pendleton, Riflemen, 95th Rifles. A young seventeen year old in Sharpe’s company and later of the South Essex he is a thief from Bristol but is killed at the battle of Talavera during the crisis of the battle but mysteriously is resurrected and appears in Sharpe’s Escape. Sharpe’s Havoc, Eagle and Escape.<o:p></o:p>
- Ned Tarrant, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. Williamson’s friend and another troublemaker he was however a good shot but he was wounded in the hip in the city of Oporto and Sharpe was forced to abandon him to be looked after by a French surgeon. We never know what happened to him. Sharpe’s Havoc.
- Fergus Slattery, Rifleman, 95th Rifles. One of Sharpe’s riflemen and later of the South Essex he is an Irish Catholic like Harper. Sharpe’s Havoc and Escape.
