'Manchester Online' Review

7th June 2003

I have found the following comments about Jonathan, from an article written when Rocky was in Edinburgh:

"I admit to being a little wary as to how Jonathan Wilkes would fit in to the stockings of such others as, Tim Curry, Richard Kates, Anthony Head, Tim McInnery, and Jason Donovan to name but a few.  I am delighted to say that in my opinion Jonathan is as good if not better than some Frank-N-Furters I have seen in the past.  His costumes are fairly standard and Jonathan certainly doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable in bask, stockings and suspenders, he also seems to cope well with the platform shoes.  His overall aura is that of sex appeal but is slightly lacking in the threatening menace I have seen in one or two others.  Vocally he is excellent and very enjoyable.  Due to unforeseen circumstances Jon Boydon has on several occasions had to put aside Brad and put on the Frank’s mantle having seen Jonathan play the part I was a little upset when Jon was on for the last Saturday night in Edinburgh but it was still a great show and I did still enjoy my self."

Croydon Guardian Interview

2nd January 2003

A local newspaper reviewed the show and was impressed by Jonnys performance:

"Thirty years on I still enjoy Rocky Horror, and the Time Warp moments were great and as previously mentioned, Jonathan Wilkes pulled out all the stops. What a wonder of a Trannie! He milked the audience and looked absolutely statuesque, his 6ft 2ins frame made even more of an impact in those high heels! Jonathan excelled as Frank N Furter. His voice is superb, and if there is any justice in this world 2003 will be year of national acclaim for Jonathan Wilkes."

2nd January 2003

The Rocky Horror Show got really good reviews to start off the year and impressed the audience in Croydon.
