Whilst Genes Reunited is easy to use and a good place to start for beginners you may also use the Ancestry.com website to start your genealogy search.
This is lot more detailed and provides tables for a small fee to keep detailed records online.

Using the Getting Started 1 and Genes Re-United gives you a feel for doing the research and then you may like to switch to using Ancestry.com
Ancestry.com usually have a 14 day free trial
After the 14 day free trial you can do a look-up and Ancestry will give you a list of replies.
To get the exact details you will have to pay for them.
About £5 will get you 10 credits, each credit gets you one lot of details. Please Note: You only have 14 days to use the 10 credits then you lose them wether you have used them or not. It pays to get yourself organised and work out before hand who or what you want to look for
Most of the websites providing Genealogy data for you to do look-ups charge in this way.
