Home to the Hurworth. Also known as Skutterskelfe Park 4miles west of Stokesley between A19 & A172 Hutton Rudby is two miles from the course. Course Details - A flat left handed course with one right hand turn with 8f 20f- The start is in the middle of the course and the first fence is jumped just the once.Two plain fences are taken before a left turn and a sight up hill run into the back stright and a line of plain fences to take,a left turn brings the runner in front of the hill and onto the open ditch, a right hand turn takes them to what was the second fence
The run in is up hill and takes some getting with horses coming off the pace taken races. ,viewing is excellent from the middle of the course.
Food/beer outlets and bookies on the outside of the track with the ring on the inside ,not a ideal set up.The course is handy for the A19.
Drainage work has been carried out on the course in 2006
This is the second course used in the Park and came into use in 1997.The Hurworth raced at Howe Hills (1991)and before that at the Whitwell on the Hill course (1989)
