South West Ipswich Team
Your Safer Neighbourhood Team is made up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Special Constables, Council staff, Community partners and volunteers. The ethos behind SNT is to work closely with our community and our partnership agencies to tackle local problems of concern. Based at our new Safer Neighbourhood Team Office in Hawthorn Drive ( located within the Buttons & Bows Nursery ) we cover the wards of Stoke,Gipping, Sprites and Bridge.
We aim to be visible, accessible and responsive to the needs of you and your community. We will: · Listen to you to identify your concerns
· Work with you in tackling the issues you have identified
· Keep you informed of our progress
We’ll want to find out what most affects your quality of life, whether that’s anti-social behaviour, graffiti, noisy neighbours or crime. Then we can help to try and solve these problems, to create neighbourhoods that are safe and feel safe. Local issues will be discussed at our regular partnership meetings where we set out strategic plans to tackle local problems and bring them to a satisfactory conclusion.
Updates on the Team’s work will be provided on these pages, and you can also log on and tell us about your crime and safety problems. We will also be holding "Streetmeets" over the forthcoming months where local residents are encouraged to speak to us about any concerns or you may just wish to come and say Hello!. Watch this space for details, we may soon be coming to a Street near you!
